Sarah received her BSc. in the Applied Biology program at the University of British Columbia, studying animal physiology, behavior, welfare and conservation. Sarah has been working with animals since 2015, has volunteered with wildlife rehabilitation in Ontario and with harbor seals and sea lions in B.C. She was later hired as an Animal Care Attendant at the BCSPCA as a Canine Behavior Assessor.
Sarah is known for having a knack for reading animals emotions and making them feel more comfortable and happier. To quote Sarah, “If only one animal’s experience at the veterinary hospital is improved, it’s worth it” (trust us, it’s many, many!). Outside of work, Sarah is also very attached to her munchkin cat Zephyr, loves the outdoors, including hiking, running, biking, snowboarding, skiing and reading. She is also very passionate about wildlife and environmental conservation.
