Dr. Gary Arzem Received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1989. His practice in companion animal medicine and surgery led to the establishment of the North Yonge Veterinary Hospital in 1992 serving Newmarket, Aurora, York Region and Greater Toronto. Dr. Arzem has served on the board of the York North Veterinary Association, is past-president of the Veterinary Emergency Clinic of York Region and is an active member in several veterinary associations. He has many professional interests within companion animal practice, including specialty areas such as internal medicine, surgery, and dermatology. Dr. Arzem also enjoys music, golf and baseball.

Angela began at our hospital as a co-op student in the fall of 2004 and continued on part-time until the completion of college. By 2007 Angela was working full-time as a Registered Veterinary Technician with a diploma from Seneca College. Although she assists in many different types of medical procedures and surgeries, Angela has a special interest in Dental Surgery. When not assisting with the care of the "in hospital" patients, Angela can be found screening films, enjoying the great outdoors or playing with her little fur ball ‘Gizmo’ (a chinchilla).

Jennifer has been with North Yonge Veterinary Hospital since 2007, a graduate from the Veterinary Technician Program at Seneca College and registered member of the O.A.V.T. She continues to educate herself in animal behaviour, rehabilitation, and nutrition to better serve the pet community. In her spare time Jenn enjoys rock climbing, horseback riding and playing volley ball with friends and family. At home Jenn and her fiancée Michael care for their two cats ‘Bubba’ and ‘Garfield’, two ferrets ‘Ralph’ and ‘Rolo’, and their Belgium King Sheppard ‘Dakota’.

Tara has been working reception since the fall of 2010, greeting clients and assisting with care. Although she came in with a deep affection for large breed dogs, the many small breed dogs that have come through the hospital have definitely won her over. Tara especially enjoys training dogs in both obedience and fun tricks. At home she refines various training techniques with her Brittany Spaniel ‘Faisca.’
