Comfortable Pet Boarding for Dogs and Cats in Newmarket
Comfortable Pet Boarding at North Yonge Veterinary Hospital
Boarding is available at our facility for dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets and pocket pets. Special feeding schedules or medication needs can be met by our veterinary staff. Your pet will receive lots of TLC, pampering and attention from our staff. We want your pet to enjoy his/her stay with us and tell their friends.
Pet Boarding for Dogs at North Yonge Veterinary Hospital
Large runs are available for bigger dogs, and our dog boarders are walked three times daily on weekdays and Saturdays, and twice daily on Sundays. We offer daycare in addition to our regular boarding. (Daycare is especially popular for working moms and dads!) Your dog will be fed a high-quality veterinary food that is appropriate for your dog’s age and health needs. If your dog is a picky eater, you may want to provide a supply of your dog’s regular food, and let us know of any special preferences. All runs and cages are fully cleaned and disinfected a minimum of twice daily – or more frequently if they become soiled.
Pet Boarding for Cats at North Yonge Veterinary Hospital
Our feline guests are boarded in a separate room from the dogs to keep them as relaxed as possible. Suites are cleaned and disinfected daily, and litter pans are cleaned whenever they become soiled. Your cat will have soft, comfortable bedding, and receive lots of special pampering. Please bring your cat’s food if he/she is eating a non-veterinary diet. Cats can be very picky eaters – especially when they are in boarding. Otherwise, we will provide an excellent quality dry food that is appropriate for your cat’s age and health needs. Please inform our staff if your cat prefers dry or canned food. We are always happy to offer our picky eaters some tasty moist food.
Pet Boarding for Rabbits at North Yonge Veterinary Hospital
Your Rabbit(s) will enjoy our large “rabbit suite” with unlimited Timothy hay and a measured quantity of fresh vegetables offered daily. Since rabbits can be picky eaters, please bring a supply of pellets for your rabbit, and let our staff know about any veggie preferences your bunny may have. We use “unprinted” newsprint for our bunny bedding, and a pelleted newspaper product for the litter box. Your bunny’s suite will be fully cleaned and disinfected daily, and he/she will be fed twice daily. Please let us know if your bunny prefers to drink from a bottle or a bowl. As with our feline boarders, bunnies are kept in a separate room to minimize disturbance from barking dogs.
Pet Boarding for Ferrets at North Yonge Veterinary Hospital
Ferrets will stay in our “ferret suite” which is separate from our dog and cat boarders. The suite is cleaned and disinfected daily, and the litter pan will be changed whenever soiled. We use a recycled newspaper litter for the litter pan, and “unprinted” newsprint for the bedding in the suite. Feel free to bring your ferret’s hammock or other special bed if he/she has a preference. Of all of our boarders, ferrets are the “pickiest” with regards to their food. Please check with our staff when you book your ferret’s stay. If your ferret is eating a diet other than the one that we feed at our hospital, please bring an adequate supply of your ferret’s own food. Ferrets are extremely resistant to changes in their pelleted diet, and will often refuse to eat if they are offered anything different from their regular food.
